I broke down, got a iPod touch, updated to the Firmware V3 and grab a pair of Jaybird bluetooth stereo headphones, and now I'm set up for cordless music while exercising and doing yard work.
07/22/2009: Training Even More
I've been steady at the gym and tonight I'm headed to Dr. Thaxton's for a good work over.
Check out my - sure to be hap-hazard - training journal.
07/21/2009: Update
I practiced two sessions Saturday at Wytheville, VA but did finish the day, nor did I return to race Sunday. I'm working out a little kink in my back that I just don't want aggrivate into something serious ... again.
LICK CREEK MX is racing this Sunday. It should be a good weekend in WV. Summersville is having it's July 4th Invitational race Saturday, then, only an hour away at Lick Creek everyone can race a premium track at a great facility on Sunday.
07/20/2009: Training
To many people's entertainment. I have decided I will try a triathlon on Aug 15th - most likely. I am at least trying to train for it. I have no idea how atheletes who do triathlons really get ready for one, but I'm just working on being able to do all three events in one session. Last night as a warm up, I ran 1 mile and swam 6 laps in the pool. I need to work my way up to swimming 26 laps. I am confident about surviving the 12 mile bike and the 3.1 mile run. Those two portions might be taxing after the swim, but the swim will be the only really tough part for me.

06/14/2009: Muddy Creek (Blountville, TN)
The day was beautiful and the racing went well. As always, when you go to Muddy Creek, you can always count on racing against the best in the nation. I signed up for the Vet 25 Expert and the 35 Plus classes.
| Class | Moto 1 | Moto 2 | Overall |
| 35 Plus | 2 | 3 | 3 |
| Vet Expert | 3 | 3 | 3 |
I have all four motos on hemet cam, but only one posted right now. Check out Simpson's whip on the first lap, it looked awesome in person. And still looks pretty cool on the helmet cam.

Briar Cliff MX (Nashport, OH)
Excellent riding. They have several tracks, Pee-wee, Beginner, and the A-B track. Then, they have open practice on each track. There aren't any flaggers and there are 2 or 3 sections on the A-B track that I thought should have flaggers. All in all, it's a fun and safe track. With a couple moderately challenging sections and big air.
I put in two 20 minute practice sessions then did some motos. First moto was 27 minutes with two more to follow that lasted under 25 minutes.
I had one get off that has a bit sore today, but not much.

Lick Creek MX
I have a very good day! I rode 3 classes, 450 A, Vet Exp (25+ & 30+), and the 35+. I got great starts and won every moto. I have edited down several helmet cam videos to one lap. Watch the Video.
| Class | Moto 1 | Moto 2 | Overall |
| 450 A | 1 | 1 | 1 |
| Vet Expert | 1 | 1 | 1 |
| 35+ | 1 | 1 | 1 |

Muddy Creek
It started out muddy, but dried out pretty nicely. I raced the Vet 25+ Expert and the 35+ classes. Only one tip over, not even enough to call a crash. I finished third overall in both classes.
Susan took a few pictures that turned out really nice, but I only put 7 in a photo gallery.
