Raced Lick Creek MX. The track changes are incredible. Even better than I thought when I did the track walk on Friday evening. Next race I'll get the helmet cam back out to try to show everyone the changes in first person point of view, so to speak.
The day went well. I raced the 450 A and the Vet Expert. In bizarro 128 fasion, I got all four hole shots and led every lap without faulter.

Up to Snowshoe Mtn, WV on vacation with my wife. It's great to spend some "away from it all" time with Susan. Als, I wanted to check out my legs and lungs. The bummer is I left my mtn bike shoes at home. So it looks like a little hiking is all I get to do so far as exercise goes while we are here.

TNFCA has concludedd the 2010 Power Camp at Thunder Valley in Livingston, TN. It was a privelage to be able to help. TNFCA has put together a three day Power Camp (MX school) and I'll be one of several instructors this year. It is from 06/25 - 06/27 at Thunder Valley in Livingston, TN.

A great day at Lick Creek MX. The track was quite beautiful, it got rutted and choppy by the end of practice and got rougher throughout the first set of motos.
I Finished 1-1 for overall victories in both the Vet Expert and the MX Open A.

A lot has happened since my last update, so here goes.
Birch Creek - AMA Regional Qualifiers
Vet 35 Plusclass I finished 9, 4, 5 for 5th overall
Senoir 40 Plus class I finished 5, 4, 4 for 4rth overall
I really tweaked my lower back Saturday and rode very hesitant the rest of the weekend even thought on Sunday my back never caused me pain.
High Point - Mega Series
I rode Vet Expert and 35 Plus. I uncharacteristically pulled 3 of the 4 holesots and won all four motos. This gave me the overall victores in both the Vet Expert and the 35 Plus classes.

I've been doing quite a bit of mountain biking the past few weeks. I got a GPS program for my HTC Hero (Android) phone and started mapping my rides. You can check two out here. Unfortunately, my battery was not fully charged and the phone died ending the logged trip about 3 miles before I actually finished.

This will be quite a long update.
I have raced the past two weekends this year. I have been undefeated. At MUDDY CREEK (AMA SE AREA QUALIFIER) I place 1st every moto, therefore I won the overalls in the Vet 35 Plus and the Senior 40 Plus classes. This past weekend, I raced at LICK CREEK MX and won each moto and the overalls in the MX Open A, Vet Expert, and teh Vet 35 Plus classes.
I am still dealing with low back pain just about all the time. It is fairly tolerable, but I have been taking quite a large dose of Ibuprofen on race day.

My knee got cleared this morning and I went to the gym after work. It was a long day. At the orthopedic before 8:00 am and I saw patients from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. Then to the gym. The Training Journal.

I did not participate in the triathlon or race this weekend. I plan on making it to the doctor this week to hve my left knee examined.

I am 99% sure I will be scratching my Triathlon plans. I'll shoot for next years event.

I didn't make it back to the gym after Tuesday. The later part of the week was really busy for me. I'll get back in there tonight for sure.
The race at Lick Creek was cancelled due to heavy lightening in a storm that stalled over the area. After the lightening stopped, Philip let everyone who had come to race, practice at no charge on the some what muddy track.
